Minnesotans can count to two.
Today, Vice-President Biden had to Do His Job. Truly he does not have much of a job, but every once in a while, the Constitution and the Rules of the Senate give him something to do. At long last, after 183 days (according to Senator Klobuchar), Minnesota has had equal suffrage in the Senate restored. (Not that anyone is really to blame for the lack of suffrage. Minnesota's election was epic. These things happen.)

I watched the video just now (I was in class when it was live). I think I watched every swearing-in this term except Senator Gillibrand; I did watch Senator Burris live, even though I was in class. I found interesting about this one who escorted Senator Franken into the chamber: Senator Klobuchar and former Vice-President Mondale. Both have served in the Senate representing Minnesota, and I cannot question Vice-President Mondale's credentials. It just got me wondering why he would have floor privileges. As a former President of the Senate, it makes sense that he would be allowed on the floor (a bit of research found that is the reason, or at least the highest-ranking reason); I just had not pondered it until I saw him on the floor.
